RELEASE NUMBER: 18 RELEASE DATE: 2022-12-15 The Radio Science dataset is updated with high precision orbits calculated by the LOLA Science Team using the GRAIL 900C gravity model. With this release, we publish arcs for mission phases LRO_ES_109 through LRO_ES_119. The LOLA data profiles for these mission phases are updated and found in the LOLA PDS Data Release #52. RELEASE NUMBER: 17 RELEASE DATE: 2022-03-15 The Radio Science dataset has had a major update, with the addition of data and PDS3 labels through mission phase LRO_ES_108. Datasets updated include the thruster Small Forces Files (FDF25), LOLA Team High Precision GRGM900C orbits, Weather station data, and spacecraft Tracking files. RELEASE NUMBER: 16 RELEASE DATE: 2020-12-15 The Radio Science dataset is updated with the addition of precision orbits calculated using the GRAIL-based GRGM900C gravity models for the mission phases LRO_ES_91 through LRO_ES_96. These orbits have been used to improve the geolocation of LOLA RDR data from LRO_ES_91 through LRO_ES_96. Those data are available in the LRO/LOLA data archive. RELEASE NUMBER: 15 RELEASE DATE: 2020-09-15 The Radio Science dataset is updated with the addition of precision orbits calculated using the GRAIL-based GRGM900C gravity models for the mission phases LRO_ES_87 through LRO_ES_90. These orbits have been used to improve geolocation over mission orbits for LOLA RDRs through LRO_ES_90. RELEASE NUMBER: 14 RELEASE DATE: 2019-12-15 The Radio Science dataset has been added to in Release 14. Precision orbits calculated using the GRAIL-based GRGM900C gravity models for the mission phases LRO_ES_82 through LRO_ES_86 increment the existing set. Precision orbits calculated using the GRAIL-based GRGM900C gravity models for the mission phases LRO_ES_53 through LRO_ES_60 increment the existing set. A subset of Laser Ranging files has been recalibrated and delivered as a new dataset. Data from the ground stations MDOL and NGSLR were recalculated after comparing the station clocks to the USNO master clock, which increased ground timing precision to less than 10 ns over a period of 20 months. Data from LRO_ES_05 to LRO_ES_25 for these two stations in full- rate and normal point formats can be found in the RANGE/CRD_fr and RANGE/CRD_npt directories. There are 368 fewer NPT than FULL_RATE data files over this data range as NPT files are only generated when data are sufficiently dense. The following datasets are incremented from the previous release: TRK (tracking) and WEA (weather). SFF (small forces - thruster) data are incremented from the previous release through 2011-12-11, when the last FDF25 files were generated. The SPK data are not revised or augmented for this release. RANGE (laser ranging normal point) data are incremented through LRO_SM_21, and the entire past delivery is revised to reflect an improvement in processing algorithms. The LOLA Science Team will continually update the Radio Science dataset on a best efforts basis. RELEASE NUMBER: 4 RELEASE DATE: 2012-03-15 DATA COVERAGE: 2009-06-18 to 2011-11-14 (entire mission through 2011-11-14) This fourth release of the raw navigation and ancilliary data sets contains data from LRO_SM_14 to LRO_SM_17 as an increment to the previous release. While the WEA, TRK and SFF data are raw, the SPK and RANGE datasets are processed. The SPK data are brought up to date since Release 1, which contained orbit solutions through LRO_NO_13. Seventeen new orbit solutions, for the Science Mission phases, have been calculated by the LOLA Precision Orbit team, and are published here. The RANGE dataset is not just incrementally updated through LRO_SM_17, but the entire previously delivered data set is resubmitted due to a revision in the calculating algorithm. This dataset is produced and maintained by the LOLA Science Team on a best efforts basis. RELEASE NUMBER: 3 RELEASE DATE: 2011-12-15 DATA COVERAGE: 2009-06-18 to 2011-09-06 (entire mission through 2011-09-06) This third release of the raw navigation and ancilliary data sets contains data from LRO_SM_06 to LRO_SM_13 as an increment to the previous release. It additionally contains a revision to the entire RANGE dataset due to recalculation using a revised algorithm. The LOLA Science Team will continue to update the Radio Science dataset on a best efforts basis. Please note that for this release, the RANGE, SFF, WEA, and TRK data sets are brought up to date, while the SPK files remain unchanged since Release 1. This data release is approximately 3 months behind the LOLA data release schedule. The LOLA Science Team will continue to update the Radio Science dataset on a best efforts basis. Please note that for this release, the RANGE, SFF, WEA, and TRK data sets are brought up to date, while the SPK files remain static as of the previous release. An update through LRO_SM_05 for the SPKs is expected at the 9/15/2011 data release.
